What should I do before uninstalling or changing computers?

Before uninstalling or moving to a new computer, open Settings and use Transfer license first. This releases your current activation slot so you can activate smoothly on your next device.

How do I download Ink Studio Pro?

For this first release, download the latest Windows installer from the GitHub Releases page. When opening it, Windows may show a protection warning (SmartScreen). If that happens, click “More info” and then “Run anyway” to continue.

What is the difference between Free and Pro?

The free version includes the line tool only, a fixed color, and auto-clear always on. Pro unlocks the full toolset (line, arrow, rectangle, text), unlimited and custom colors, hotkeys, movable toolbar, auto-clear toggle, and flexible screen targeting. Pro is a one-time purchase with no subscription.

How do I activate my license?

After purchasing Pro, you’ll receive a license key by email (from Lemon Squeezy). Open Ink Studio Pro, go to the license or upgrade section in the app, and enter your key. Your Pro features will unlock immediately.

How many devices can I activate with one Pro license?

Your Pro license works on up to 2 Windows devices simultaneously.

Where can I download updates?

When a newer version is available, the app will show an update popup. You can then download and install the latest release. Pro licenses remain valid across updates.

My keyboard shortcuts have stopped working. What should I do?

The app may have lost focus (for example, after switching windows or clicking outside the drawing area). To get shortcuts working again, click on the toolbar to refocus the app, or enter draw mode (double-press Ctrl), then click once on your drawing area so the app registers input again.

How do I request a feature or report a bug?

Use the Contact page and email us at hello@inkstudiopro.app. For bug reports, please include your operating system and a short description or steps to reproduce so we can help more quickly.

Is Pro a subscription?

No. Pro is a one-time purchase. There are no monthly fees, no renewals, and we do not plan to turn it into a subscription. You pay once and keep Pro forever.

Does Ink Studio Pro work on other operating systems?

Right now, Ink Studio Pro is available for Windows. We plan to bring it to both Linux and macOS. Please check the website for updates on platform availability.

Does Ink Studio Pro record my screen or send my drawings somewhere?

No. The app runs entirely on your device. It does not record or capture your screen, does not transmit drawings or annotations, and does not collect usage analytics. Drawing and annotation happen locally.
